This Standard specifies the technical requirements for an ohmmeter, safety, multi-range, battery powered set, NATO Stock Number 6625-99-648-1386, suitable for pan-climatic use (hereinafter referred to as the 'equipment'), safe to use in the presence of explosives, for measuring the resistance of electrically initiated explosive devices (EED) (wire bridge and conducting composition types) either individually or connected in circuit.

Accuracy shall be maintained over wide temperature and humidity ranges.

The equipment shall be safe to use in the presence of strong electromagnetic and/or electrostatic fields, provided appropriate connectors and associated leads are used.

The equipment shall comprise:

Ohmmeter, Safety, Multi-Range, Battery Powered;

Satchel;

Lead, electrical.
