This Standard specifies screwed type malleable cast iron pipe fittings 3) (hereafter referred to as "fittings") used for ordinary piping 2) for water 1), oil, steam, air, gas, etc.
NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 49: 1994 Malleable cast iron fittings threaded to ISO 7-1 (MOD)
In addition, symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
Note 1) It refers to general service water, water for fire-fighting, water for industrial use, cold and hot water for air-conditioning, cooling water, etc. except drinking water.
