scope:

This Standard specifies screwed type steel pipe fittings ³⁾ (hereafter referred to as "fittings") used for ordinary piping ²⁾ for water ¹⁾, oil, steam, air, gas, etc.

Notes ¹⁾ It refers to general service water, water for fire-fighting, water for industrial use, cold and hot water for air-conditioning, cooling water, etc. except drinking water.

²⁾ It refers to piping mainly using carbon steel pipes for ordinary piping specified in JIS G 3452 except that for high-pressure, for conduits and for other specific purposes.

³⁾ refers to those whose surface conditions are unmachined, galvanized and resin-coated.
