scope:

The criteria in this standard are the Air Force's minimum safety, fire prevention, and occupational health requirements. Major commands (MAJCOM), direct reporting units (DRU), or field operating agencies (FOA) may supplement this standard when additional or more stringent safety, fire prevention, and health criteria are required. Refer to Air Force Instruction (AFI) 91-301, Air Force Occupational and Environmental Safety, Fire Protection, and Health (AFOSH) Program, for instructions on processing supplements or variances.
