scope:
The STANAG provides guidance on all aspects of liaison. It is principally aimed at the Land Component, but recognizes the specific needs of Joint, Combined and Multinational operations. Moreover, the contents of the STANAG are consistent with the doctrinal tenets of AJP-3 and ATP-35. The STANAG will embody liaison as it pertains to warfighting and Peace Support Operations (PSO).
