This Part of Defence Standard 05-50 specifies a procedure for the determination of aromatic (CA), paraffinic (CP) and naphthenic (CN) carbon contents of mineral base oils which have a molecular weight in the range 270 to 500 and where any additives present do not contribute to the analytical results.
