This specification covers the general requirements and definitions applicable to the construction of radar indicators with cathode ray tube (CRT) displays for Naval surface ships, submarines, and shore installations. These radar indicators are not an integral part of the radar transmitter-receiver
Radar indicators covered by this specification shall be for displaying radar echo signals from navigation, surface and air surveillance radar sets in a plan position indicator (PPI)/range height indicator (RHI) presentation (see 6.3.4 and 6.3.5), by a scanning method as specified (see 6.2).
