scope:

This specification relates to a chemically cured paint suitable for coating the under-water areas of ships and submarines which are subject to high rates of water flow, turbulence and water impingements, eg rudders, shaft brackets, sea tubes, etc. The paint is available in black for surface use on submarines and in a limited range of other colours from BS 381C for general use on ships.

NOTE: The material is supplied as two separate components which are mixed together before use in a simple ratio by volume, the exact proportions being specified by the manufacturer. This mixed material has a limited pot life and should be discarded at the end of the working period.
