Gauge isolators covered by this specification are intended for installation in fluid systems that contain large amounts of sediment or solids. The isolators protect pressure and vacuum gauges from clogging or providing inaccurate readings. The isolator full bore design does not restrict fluid flow and the smooth interior reduces sediment buildup.

Dial ranges of isolator and gauge sets for shipboard sewage service are generally as follows:

Pressure 0-60 lb/in² 0-100 lb/in² Compound pressure 30 inches hg - 50 lb/in² 30 inches hg - 100 lb/in² Vacuum pressure 30 inches hg

Isolators specified herein are not suitable for installation in pipe systems with raised face flanges.
