Purpose
This regulation provides information on the mission and operation of the United Service Organizations, Inc. (USO). It states the Army's responsibilities and policies regarding the cooperation and service the USO provides to the Army.
Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States (ARNGUS), and the United States Army Reserve within the continental United States and overseas when in accord with treaties and international agreements. It does not apply to the Army National Guard (ARNG) in its Title 32 (United States Code) state status. The term Army National Guard of the United States refers to personnel in a Title 10 (United States Code) active duty status.
