The requirements for the application of structural fairing and filling materials.

The fairing and filling materials specified in this NES are not tobe applied under acoustic tiles. If necessary shaped soft solid rubber fairings are to be used.

Firing and filling materials are not to be used in order to achieve cosmetic standards. Attention is drawn to Clause 3.b.

The Contractor may propose and seek MOD(N) approval to use alternative fairing materials to those specified in this NES, in the interest of economy, provided it is first established that such materials are of similar performance and quality as those specified, and will fully meet the requirements of the purpose for use in every respect.
