This Standard covers the requirements relating to valves for use on aircraft for charging aircraft high pressure nitrogen and hydraulic fluid systems and components with nitrogen. It includes the requirements for the design and installation of the valves.
The requirements of this Standard do not apply to the charging of liquid spring undercarriage units. The valve to be used for this purpose is specified in Defence Standard 16-6.
