This NES relates to the Military Packaging Level of elastomeric separators to suit accumulators of the seamless steel cylindrical design, with hemispherical ends up to 54 litres capacity and is applicable for Level J, N and P requirements to Def Stan 81-41. Figure 1 refers.
Two types of elastomeric separators are covered.
Standard type consisting of elastomeric separator with bonded steel stem fitted with lock nut, gas valve and sealing cap.
Transfer barrier type (to accommodate back-up bottles) consisting of elastomeric separator with bonded steel stem suitable for connection to external pipework.
