This Defence Standard specifies the requirements for a protective insulating silicone compound for use as a filling and coating material in electrical equipment and installations, suitable for use over the product temperature range of minus 50°C to plus 200°C.
NOTE: This compound may promote stress cracking in polyethylene particularly in the high density type.
