scope:
This Standard specifies the determination method of fume emission rate and the collection method of fume for analysis at the time of arc welding by covered electrodes, solid wires for gas-shielded metal-arc welding, and tubular-cored wires for gas shielded metal-arc welding and self-shielded arc welding (hereafter referred to as the "welding consumables to be tested"). However, TIG welding which uses the filler rod for TIG welding and the solid wire is excluded because the fume emission rate is little.
NOTE: The International Standard corresponding to this Standard and the symbol of degree of correspondence are as follows.
ISO 15011-1 : 2009 Health and safety in welding and allied processes - Laboratory method for sampling fume and gases - Part 1 : Determina tion of fume emission rate during arc welding and collection of fume for analysis (MOD)
The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the contents between the relevant International Standard and JIS are IDT (identical), MOD (modified), and NEQ (not equivalent) according to ISO/ lEC Guide 21-1.
