Material Description. This specification details the requirements of a polyurethane based solvent released type primer intended to promote adhesion of GM approved urethane adhesives to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) paint systems.

Applicability. These primers are capable of being applied by brush, felt or spray, manually or with automation, and provide good wettability to the application substrates. Although not restricted to, these primers are typically used for bonding fixed automotive glass to painted metal vehicle openings, e.g., windshields, rear windows and quarter glass. It is also intended for use as an alternative to body primer 9985757.
