This document is intended to clarify key aspects of the operation of Project 25 subscriber, base, and repeater station equipment in the interests of conformance.
It includes a set of PCP items or procedures for basic conventional operation as follows:
PCP 1.1 - Voice Calls
- PCP 1.1.1 - Group Call via Repeater Operation
- PCP 1.1.2 - Individual Call via Repeater Operation
- PCP 1.1.3 - Group Call Direct Operation
- PCP 1.1.4 - Individual Call Direct Operation
It is consistent with other pertinent APCO Project 25 Conformance Profiles, namely:
Project 25 Conformance Profile - Level 2 (Advanced Conventional Operation)
Project 25 Conformance Profile - Level 3 (Basic Trunking Operation)
Project 25 Conformance Profile - Level 4 (Advanced Trunking Operation)
Project 25 Conformance Profile - Level 5 (Phase II Trunking Operation)
This document is primarily aimed at manufacturers and conformance test facilities to serve as a standard reference of conformant air interface signaling, as a means of assisting manufacturers in the development of conformant Project 25 equipment. It also defines a framework against which manufacturers may describe the conformant behaviour of their Project 25 products
It is not designed as a functional interoperability test suite for end users, for which readers are referred to [7].
This document assumes an audience familiar with terms and definitions contained in the APCO P25 standards.
