Purpose. To publish the mission, functions, and tasks of Commander, Naval Sea Systems Command (COMNAVSEASYSCOM) issued under references (a) through (e). This revision adds direct operational and oversight responsibilities for Commander, Naval Regional Maintenance Center (COMNAVRMC); cybersecurity; engineering duty officer (EDO); and Reserve Component forces functions and tasks. This instruction is a complete revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
