This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies the corrOSIon inhibitor treated film among packaging materials used for the corrosion preventive packaging to prevent corrosion on iron and steel (hereafter referred to as the "corrosion inhibitor treated film for iron and steel"). This Standard is also applicable in the case where the corrosion inhibitor treated film for iron and steel is used as a volatile corrosion inhibitor to prevent corrosion on iron and steel 1).

Note 1) As another application method, this is the case where it is mainly used in an enclosed space by placing it in the same way as a discrete type volatile corrosion inhibitor specified in JIS Z 1519.
