This Standard specifies the corrosion inhibitor treated papers used for the corrosion inhibiting on iron and steel (hereafter referred to as the "corrosion inhibitor treated papers").

When the surface of the iron and steel is covered with a protective layer such as plating, the corrosion inhibiting effect by applying the corrosion inhibitor treated paper is to be exerted only on the iron and steel exposed to the environment, and the corrosion inhibiting effect on the surface protective layer is not covered in this Standard.
