This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies petroleum benzine to be used as a reagent.

WARNING 1 Since petroleum benzine is flammable, it shall be kept away from fire. It is also hazardous, therefore special attention should be paid to the inhalation of fumes, and the adherence to mucous membrane and skin.

WARNING 2 Persons carrying out tests based on this Standard should be familiar with normal laboratory practice. This Standard does not purport to address all of the safety problems, if any, associated with its use. The user of this Standard shall be responsible for establishing appropriate safety and health practices with reference to SDS (Safety Data Sheet) or MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet: JIS Z 7250 was withdrawn and replaced with JIS Z 7253 in 2012. However, JIS Z 7250: 2010 may be applied until 2016.).
