PBXN-110 is a high-energy explosive intended for use in ordnance. PBXN-110, Type II is the preferred composition for general use. The material has been formulated to provide a longer pot life, i.e., time between the end of mixing and the time when the material can no longer be cast into a warhead to give a high-quality charge because of its high viscosity increase. PBXN-110, Type I has a shorter pot life but is equivalent to Type II with respect to sensitivity and performance properties. The material can be used in place of Type II for applications not requiring a long pot life, if isophorone diisocyanate is not available. Since PBXN-110 is designed for military ordnance, there is no commercial application.
