Purpose.
To define policy, authority and responsibility for management of the Navy disposition process for excess, obsolete, unserviceable, and waste military munitions generated or received at naval activities. The disposition process includes demilitarization (DEMIL), recycling, declassification and disposal. This instruction is a substantial revision and should be reviewed in its entirety.
