scope:
This standard deals with sheet metal work on roofs and walls using components welted on site, and with other types of sheet metal work.
This standard does not cover
- roofing made from standardized corrugated or otherwise profiled roofing sheeting (see DIN 18338),
- wall cladding made from metal components (see DIN 18360),
- sheet metal work in conjunction with thermal insulation and fire protection work (see DIN 18421),
- back-ventilated curtain walling (see DIN 18351).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18339 shall take precedence.
