scope:

This standard deals with sheet metal roofing work, wall cladding work using components welted on site, and the associated sheet metal work.

This standard does not cover

- roofing made from standardized corrugated or roofing sheeting (cf. DIN 18338),

- wall cladding made from metal components (cf. DIN 18360);

- sheet metal work in conjunction with insulation work (cf. DIN 18421);

- back-ventilated curtain walling (cf. DIN 18351).

Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
