This standard specifies requirements for square head bolts with short dog point, of product grade A with metric coarse threads from M5 to M24.
These screws are not fully loadable in tensile testing due to the small surface area of the head.
Where, for special purposes, the bolts are to meet requirements differing from those specified in the present standard, e.g. with respect to nominal length or property class, the bolts shall be in compliance with the specifications of the relevant standards.
