Applicability.

This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard/Army National Guard of the United States, and the U.S. Army Reserve. It also applies to all Department of the Army civilian employees, nonappropriated fund employees, Youth/Student Assistant Program employees, foreign nationals directly and indirectly employed by Department of the Army, and contractor personnel operating Army vehicles and equipment. This regulation is applicable during full mobilization.

Purpose

This regulation establishes standards, policies, and procedures for the selection, training, testing, and licensing of operators of Army wheeled and tracked vehicles and equipment. (See TC 21-306 for specific guidance on tracked vehicle operators.)
