scope:
This standard deals with the finishing of natural stone, and paving and cladding*) work with tiles, slabs and units of special shape made from natural stone. It also applies to ashlar and facing masonry made from natural stone.
This standard does not cover
- the paving of surfaces and gutters with paving stones according to DIN EN 1342 and with slabs according to DIN EN 1341 (see DIN 18318) and
- loadbearing masonry made from natural stone (see DIN 18330).
DIN 18299, clauses 1 to 5 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, DIN 18332 shall take precedence.
