scope:

This standard deals with work with natural stone, including flooring and cladding^*) stone, ashlar and facing masonry.

This standard does not cover

- sett and slab pavements of stone used in road construction (see DIN 18318);

- stone walling (see DIN 18330);

- the laying of mass-produced Solnhofen stone slabs and stone tiles (including narrow tiles) (see DIN 18352).

Clauses 1 to 5 of DIN 18299 shall also apply. In cases where the specifications of DIN 18299 contradict the present standard, the latter shall take precedence.
