This specification sets forth content requirements for the preparation of Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs) in support of NAVSEA systems and equipment. IPB data is used for maintenance support, requisition, storage, authority for use, and identification of parts. The requirements contained herein support the development of separate IPB technical manuals (TMs) or IPB data intended to be included as part of system or equipment maintenance TMs developed in accordance with MIL-DTL-24784/22.
