The standard applies to machines with rated voltages less than or equal to 600V and which are in accordance with I E C Publication 34-1. Establishes requirements relating to the use of thermal protection systems with thermal detectors or thermal protectors incorporated in the rotating electrical machines. Gives definitions, types of built-in protection, performance of systems, fitting and connection of thermal detectors, type and routine tests.
