It is a guide that, if followed, will support good construction and maintenance techniques so that the best possible quality and performance is obtained for the renewed asset and through its operational life.

Purpose

This document forms part of a comprehensive set of resources available to the Supply Chain Community involved in the Specification, Design, Manufacture and Installation of Switch and Crossing on Network Rail Controlled Infrastructure. Its aim is to provide instruction, reference, guidance and training in the fulfilment of providing a consistent and quality service in the delivery of Switch and Crossings to our customers.
