scope:
This standard describes the requirements for carrying out technical monitoring and deals specifically with the process description of the life cycle phases. Furthermore, the interfaces with the building automation and control system (BACS), with commissioning management and with operating are described.
The standard is thus applicable in the planning and construction process and in the use phase of buildings.
The main target groups of this standard are planners, operators, facility managers and systems integration planners who introduce and supervise the requirements of technical monitoring, as seen from the operator's point of view, in the planning and construction process and, after handover of the building, carry out, control and are responsible for the technical monitoring. Furthermore, technical monitoring is described as a separate, individual service during building operation.
In essence, the interfaces with the other building services disciplines (such as, e.g., heating, ventilation, electrical systems and BACS (ICA)) are identified. The technical implementation in terms of hardware and software is not specified in this standard.
Owners and project managers are provided with information on goals and benefits of technical monitoring so that they can make the necessary decisions and enable financing.
Important remark
This standard is not a specification of services for the planning and tendering of a TMon project.
