Bu standard, 60 mm?lik govde et kalinligini gecmeyen ve 100bar?a esit veya daha kucuk musaade edilebilir azami basinctakullanim icin ongorulen, ferritik veya ostenitik kuresel grafitlidokme demirden yapilmis basincli kaplarin ve parcalarinin tasarim,malzeme, imal?t ve deneyleri icin ozelliklerini kapsar. Basinclikap govde et kalinligindaki kisitlama; flanslar, takviyeler vebasliklar vb. icin gecerli degildir. Musaade edilebilir kaliteler;ostenitik ve ferritik kaliteleri icin, farkli guvenlik faktorlerive farkli bir yaklasim gerektiren, dusuk uzama ve kirilgan malzemeozelligi nedeni ile ozellikle bu standarddan cikarilan lamelgrafitli dokme demir kalitelerini kapsamaz. Not 1 - Ostenitikkuresel dokme demir kaliteleri, prensip olarak yuksek ve alcaksicaklik uygulamalari ve korozyon direnci ozellikleri icinkullanilir. Not 2 - Musaade edilebilir kuresel grafitli dokme demirkaliteleri, Cizelge 3 ve Cizelge 4?te liste halinde verilmistir.Calisma sartlari Madde 4?te verilmistir.
