Bu hamur karistiricilar; gida endustrisindeveya magazalarda (pastaneler, firinlar, sekerleme imalathanelerivb.) ayri ayri veya bir uretim hatti boyunca un, su ve digermalzemeleri karistirmak suretiyle hamur uretimi icin kullanilir. Bumakinalar, elle veya mekanik olarak beslenebilirler. Bu makinalarbazen diger endustrilerde de (ornegin; ilac endustrisi, kimyaendustrisi, matbaacilik) kullanilir, ancak, bu kullanicilar ileilgili tehlikelere bu standardda deginilmez.
