PURPOSE. This Instruction outlines procedures for application, screening, selection, assignment, and training, and describes the duties for all Active and Reserve Command Senior Enlisted Leaders. CSEL refers to the Master Chief Petty Officer of the Coast Guard (MCPOCG), Gold Badge Command Master Chiefs (CMC), Coast Guard Reserve Force Master Chief (CGRF-MC), Command Silver Badges, and Collateral Duty Command Master Chiefs, Senior Chiefs, and Chiefs.
