PURPOSE. This Instruction outlines procedures for application, screening, selection, assignment, and training, and describes the duties for all Active and Reserve Command Senior Enlisted Leaders. CSEL refers to all Gold Badge Command Master Chiefs (CMC), Rating Force Master Chiefs (RFMC), Silver Badge Command Master and Command Senior Chiefs (CSC), and Collateral Duty Unit Command Chiefs (may be a Master Chief Petty Officer, Senior Chief Petty Officer or Chief Petty Officer).
