scope:

PURPOSE

This Directive:

Reissues Reference (a) to update and realign the policy and responsibilities for the MRTFB.

Reassigns responsibilities relating to the MRTFB from the Director of Operational Test and Evaluation (DOT&E) to the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition, Technology, and Logistics (USD(AT&L)) consistent with References (b) and (c). To the extent Reference (d) is inconsistent with the assignments made by this Directive, it is superseded by this Directive.

APPLICABILITY

This Directive applies to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, the Military Departments, the Office of the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, the Combatant Commands, the Office of the Inspector General of the Department of Defense, the Defense Agencies, the DoD Field Activities, and all other organizational entities within the Department of Defense (hereafter referred to collectively as the "DoD Components").
