AIM

The aim of this NATO standardization recommendation (STANREC) is to list recommended practices regarding:

Codes for the safety of naval vessels that embrace the majority of vessels operated by Navies. The goal based codes provide a regulatory framework against which naval vessels can be demonstrated to be safe to operate and are based on and benchmarked, as appropriate, against appropriate IMO conventions and resolutions.
