This standard describes the determination of the unsaturated hydraulic conductivity characteristics and water retention characteristics in soil samples according to Wind's evaporation method. The standard is applicable to testing of physical properties in the unsaturated zone of the soil. The method is applicable for homogeneous soil samples which hardly shrink or swell in the pressure head distance of h = 0 to h = -800 cm.
