NPR 1813 provides information on the afore mentioned standards and has the objective to indicate how 'good sitting' and 'safe standing' during work (in the office) can be carried out. The variation of posture during work has a positive influence on the prevention of complaints to the locomotor apparatus and the apparatus for maintaining posture (muscles and joints) of the worker (in the office) and increases the efficiency.
