This European Standard specifies the requirements for baths for domestic purposes2) made from acrylic materials which ensure that the product, when installed in accordance with manufacturers' instructions, gives satisfactory performance. This standard does not specify requirements specific to the mounting of taps on baths. It is therefore applicable to baths for use with wall mounted taps. It is also applicable to baths for use with bath mounted taps and in this case it should be used in conjunction with a specification covering the requirements for tap mounting where this exists. This standard is applicable to all sizes and shapes of baths. No requirements are given for nominal bath sizes or dimensional coordination. The latter aspects may be covered by other standards.
