Specifies two methods for the determination of moisture content in starch: the oven-drying method at 130 °C at atmospheric pressure (Method 1); the oven-drying method at 100 °C or 73 °C at reduced pressure (Method 2). These methods are applicable to native starches. For the majority of ordinary transactions concerning native starches the oven-drying method at 130 °C (Method 1) has proved satisfactory.
