scope:
Specifies a method for determining the sound power levels of non-movable sound sources in situ. A comparison method is used to determine the octave-band sound power levels of the sources. The measurement uncertainty will depend on the directional characteristics of the source under test and the test environment. The measurement uncertainty is evaluated afterwards by comparing with different field/source indicators. The accuracy will either be that of on engineering or that of a survey method.
