scope:

Truck mixers are machines for the transportation and mixing of concretes, mortars and similar building materials as well as other fluid and bulk materials which in operation are not an acute risk to the environment. They consist essentially of a mixing drum which can be rotated plus a drive mounted on vehicles or semi trailers which in their characteristics as regards for example license to use the public road network, driving characteristics and safety on the road and on site and gross weight do not themselves generally fall under this standard. Obviously these other licensing conditions or safety requirements affect the actual truck mixer superstructure in the case of dimensioning and overall size. Truck mixer superstructures may also be combined with concrete pumps, distributor masts, conveyor belts or other special devices which do are not covered by this standard. Truck mixers are operated by trained, adult staff.
