This European Standard describes a test method for the preparation of bituminous test specimens using a vibratory compaction technique. This European Standard is applicable to loose mixtures and cores and is used to establish a reference density for a bituminous mixture in accordance with the procedures described in prEN 12697-9 or the ease of compaction, as described in prEN 12697-10.
