scope:
This European Standard describes two methods for the analysis of lead in PVC-insulating and sheathing materials for electric and for optical fibre cables. The samples of PVC are taken from the finished cable. Method A provides a quantitative method and Method B provides a qualitative method. Both Method A and Method B are applicable to products having a total lead content greater than or equal to 0,01 %.
