Applies to three-phase turbine-type machines within the scope of IEC 34-1 having rated outputs of 10 MVA and above, used as generators. Constitutes part 3 of a series of publications dealing with rotating electrical machinery. Supersedes the third edition published in 1968. Supplements the basic requirements given in IEC 34-1. Gives in Section 2 specific requirements common to all turbine-type machines. Specifies in Section 3 further requirements for air cooled machines and in Section 4 additional requirements for hydrogen or liquid cooled machines. Section 5 deals with the specific requirements for turbine-type machines driven by combustion gas-turbines.
