This standard applies to small grid-connected photovoltaic systems, incorporating a DC-AC inverter, intended for use as a single system or as interconnected system(s) in residential areas. The maximum total rated output current is 2,25 Aac. These requirements cover systems with a maximum array open circuit voltage at Standard Test Conditions of 120 Vdc and systems with an array open circuit voltage at standard test conditions up to 400 V d.c. under the conditions for transformerless inverters as stated in clause 2.1. The photovoltaic systems are intended to be installed in accordance with the national wiring rules NEN 1010. These requirements also cover components intended to provide electrical connection to and mounting facilities for PV systems.
