In DS 469:1991 chapter 1.2 scope is replaced by the following: This standard specifies heating systems, with water as the heating medium, which has the purpose to supply rooms and buildings with heating including connected systems, where the temperature of the water is pressumed to be max 110 °C. This standard does not comprise the supply system it self but only those parts of the supply system, which take a naturally part of the heating system. The standard does not comprise fire technical requrirements. Regarding relevant provisions for adjoining areas reference i made to chapter 8 in DS 469:1991. INFORMATIVE: The requirements and conditions stated in chapter 2 can also be used for other types of heating systems, i.e. eletrical heating systems. This standard specifies also e.g. heat exchangers for district heating and mixing circuits in the heating system and for the heat exchangers in the domestic water supply and heating surfaces in ventilation systems. The standard does not apply for the actual supply system, e.g. boiler, heat pump or district heating inlet and main cocks. The supply system should, however, be designed according to the requirements of the heating system. The district heating companies may have legal provisions for the supply of heating and for the connection arrangements.
